Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced DOCSIS QA Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in network testing, DOCSIS technologies, CMTS platforms, and cable modem validation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of QA processes, traffic generation tools, packet analysis, and scripting for automation.

Experience & Qualifications :

- Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science or related Engineering specialization.

- 4- 6 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, specifically focused on network testing.

Must-Have Technical Skills :

DOCSIS & CMTS Expertise :

- Strong hands-on experience with DOCSIS 3.0 / 3.1 standards.

- Experience working on CMTS platforms such as :

1. Cisco

2. CommScope / Arris

3. Casa

4. Harmonic

- Experience testing and validating cable modems.

QA & Networking Skills :

- Solid QA experience in the networking domain, including functional, regression, and performance testing.

- Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and a clear understanding of SDLC.

- Experience working with traffic generation tools like :

1. IXIA

2. Spirent

- Strong skills in packet analysis using :

1. Wireshark

2. Packet capture tools

3. Network simulators

- Ability to validate data, logs, and network behavior in various test scenarios.

Automation & Scripting :

- Scripting experience using :

1. Python

2. Shell

- Ability to automate repetitive test cases, logs, or data validations.

Documentation & Planning :

- Hands-on experience with test planning, writing test cases, test execution, and reporting.

- Ability to maintain clear, structured QA documentation.

Soft Skills :

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams.
