WiFi Developer - Wireless Operations

Job Overview :

We are looking for a skilled and passionate WiFi Developer with strong expertise in Linux kernel development, WLAN/network driver development, and wireless networking technologies.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in WiFi protocols, Linux networking stack, wireless feature development, and performance optimization.

This role offers an opportunity to work on advanced wireless technologies and high-performance connectivity solutions in a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and enhance Linux kernel network/WLAN drivers for WiFi solutions

- Implement and optimize wireless networking features and algorithms

- Develop and optimize PCIe-based data path implementation

- Analyze, debug, and resolve networking and wireless performance issues

- Optimize throughput, packet scheduling, QoS, and networking performance

- Work on advanced wireless features such as ACS, DFS, concurrency, and roaming

- Collaborate with cross-functional and multi-site engineering teams

- Participate in feature development, debugging, testing, performance tuning, and throughput optimization

- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery

Required Skills & Experience :

- 1 to 8 years of hands-on system software development experience

- Minimum 1+ years of experience in :

1. Linux Kernel Development

2. Network Driver Development

3. WLAN Driver Development

Strong experience in :

- Linux kernel and network/WLAN driver development

- Linux networking stack

- PCIe data path implementation and optimization

- Strong understanding of :

i. IEEE 802.11 protocol specifications

ii. Linux IP Stack

iii. QoS

iv. Packet Scheduling

v. Throughput Optimization

Wireless & Networking Protocols :

- Knowledge of WFA protocols such as :

1. P2P

2. DPP

3. WPA3

Hands-on experience with :

- ACS

- Concurrency

- DFS

Linux Networking Components :

- Experience in :

1. wpa_supplicant

2. hostapd

3. nl80211 library

- Good understanding of :

a. Linux IPC mechanisms

b. Synchronization mechanisms

Programming & Tools :

- Strong C programming skills

- Experience using protocol analyzers and networking tools such as :

1. OmniPeek

2. Wireshark

3. Chariot

4. iPerf

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelors Degree in :

1. Computer Science

2. Electronics Engineering

3. Communication Engineering

- Masters Degree preferred.
