Western Digital - Analyst - Business Applications

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Analyst - Business Applications with a strong development background in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), and OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud). In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of critical business applications and integration solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and robust analytical capabilities. You'll translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, driving impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain applications and integrations based on SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) principles, ensuring modularity, reusability, and scalability of services.

- Utilize expertise in OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud) for the development of analytical solutions, including data modeling, dashboard creation, and report generation to provide actionable business insights.

- Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications for application development and integration projects.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure developed solutions align with business needs and technical standards.

- Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of business applications and integrations to ensure high performance and reliability.

- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing EDI, SOA, and OAC solutions, addressing issues and implementing enhancements as needed.

- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from conceptual design to deployment and post-implementation support.

- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Qualifications :

- Proven hands-on development experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems and protocols.

- Strong expertise in SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) principles and experience developing and managing services within an SOA environment.

- Demonstrated experience with OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud) development, including data visualization, dashboard creation, and reporting.

- Experience with various integration patterns and technologies (e.g., REST, SOAP, message queues).

- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical designs.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
