Job Title : Web Services Engineer - JSON & Integration Maintenance

Location : Remote (India-based)

Shift : IST (2 :00 PM - 10 :00 PM) to align with US clients

Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled Web Services Engineer with strong experience in JSON data handling and integration maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web services and APIs that support seamless integration between internal systems and third-party applications for US-based clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot RESTful web services and APIs with JSON as the primary data format.

- Ensure smooth integration between various systems, both internal and third-party.

- Monitor, maintain, and optimize existing web services for reliability, scalability, and security.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and business analysts to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions.

- Debug and resolve integration issues and provide timely fixes.

- Document web service architecture, workflows, and integration processes.

- Implement best practices for API security, error handling, and data validation.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining web services and API integrations.

- Strong proficiency in JSON and experience working with XML is a plus.

- Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and SOAP web services.

- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.

- Familiarity with integration platforms, middleware, or ESB tools is advantageous.

- Knowledge of authentication and security protocols (OAuth, JWT, API keys).

- Good programming skills in languages like Java, Node.js, Python, or similar.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience working with version control tools (Git).

- Good understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred :

- Experience with JSON schema validation and transformation.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

- Understanding of database systems and SQL
