Webmethods Developer - API Gateway

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and debug integration services using webMethods 10.x.

- Configure and manage APIs and policies within webMethods API Gateway and Developer Portal.

- Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based web services.

- Define and manage API contracts using YAML, adhering to best practices.

- Integrate with backend systems such as SQL/NoSQL databases, SOAP/REST APIs, and messaging queues (MQ).

- Apply knowledge of integration architecture including API-led connectivity, synchronous/asynchronous messaging, Pub/Sub, and batch processing.

- Conduct thorough testing of APIs and services using tools like Postman.

- Utilize Jira, Azure DevOps, and version control tools for task tracking and collaboration.

- Ensure development follows industry best practices, with clean, reusable, and maintainable code.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery across the SDLC in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

- Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for deploying and managing integration services.

Mandatory Skills :

- webMethods (10.x) Development and debugging

- API Gateway / Developer Portal Configuration

- YAML, JSON, REST, SOAP, NoSQL

- Strong understanding of API design best practices

- Proficient in integration testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

- Familiar with tools like Postman, Jira, Azure DevOps

- Good knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)

- Strong grasp of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
