Webmethods Developer

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and debug integration services using webMethods 10.x.

- Configure and manage APIs, policies in webMethods API Gateway and Developer Portal.

- Conduct API testing and analyze technical requirements and integration issues.

- Implement REST API best practices and create API contracts using YAML.

- Integrate with backend systems such as databases (SQL/NoSQL), SOAP/REST APIs, and messaging queues (MQ).

- Apply integration architecture concepts including API-led connectivity, synchronous/asynchronous communication, pub-sub, and batch processing.

- Work extensively with JSON, REST, SOAP, and SQL technologies.

- Utilize tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Postman for task management, CI/CD, and API testing.

- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for deployment and integration purposes.

- Follow software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.

- Write reusable, maintainable, and clean code adhering to design principles and coding standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration solutions meet business and technical requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6 to 12 years of hands-on experience in webMethods 10.x development and integration.

- Strong knowledge of webMethods API Gateway and Developer Portal configuration.

- Proficient in API testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing technical integration issues.

- Deep understanding of REST API design, API contracts (YAML), and best practices.

- Experience integrating backend services including SQL/NoSQL databases, SOAP/RESTful APIs, and MQ.

- Solid understanding of integration architecture concepts such as API-led connectivity, sync/async communication, pub-sub, and batch processing.

- Expertise in JSON, REST, SOAP, and SQL.

- Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and Postman.

- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write clean, reusable code.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
