Job Description : WebLogic Administrator
About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive WebLogic Administrator to join our team. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end management and support of our Oracle WebLogic Server environments.
This includes everything from installation and configuration to deployment, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of WebLogic domains and applications across our development, testing, and production landscapes.

Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server (versions 11g, 12c, or newer) in various environments.
- Deploy enterprise applications (EAR, WAR, JAR) efficiently and provide expert troubleshooting for any deployment-related issues.
- Manage WebLogic domains, including the setup and administration of clusters, managed servers, and node managers to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Proactively monitor performance of WebLogic environments, utilizing your expertise to fine-tune JVM parameters, connection pools, and thread settings for optimal application performance.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as patching, upgrades, and security configurations.
- Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies for WebLogic configurations and deployed applications.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless application deployments and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for WebLogic configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical production support, as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a WebLogic Administrator, with a strong understanding of WebLogic Server architecture and components.
- In-depth knowledge of installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle WebLogic Server (11g, 12c, or newer).
- Expertise in deploying and managing enterprise applications (EAR, WAR, JAR) within WebLogic environments.
- Strong proficiency in managing WebLogic domains, clusters, managed servers, and node managers.
- Demonstrable experience in performance monitoring and tuning of WebLogic Server, including JVM, connection pools, and thread settings.
- Hands-on experience with other application servers and web servers, including:
- Apache HTTP Server
- Apache Tomcat
- IIS (Internet Information Services) Admin
- JBoss Admin
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and firewalls in relation to application deployments.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., WLST, Shell, Python) for automation of administrative tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Oracle WebLogic Server certifications.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., OEM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
