About the Role :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Web Application Test Engineer with 3 years of experience in testing web-based applications.

This role involves working on an advanced AI-driven conversational platform, similar to ChatGPT, which integrates a dynamic knowledge base and a responsive user interface.

You will collaborate closely with developers, AI/ML engineers to ensure the application meets high standards of performance, usability, reliability, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based AI applications.

- Conduct UI/UX testing to ensure user interactions are smooth, intuitive, and error-free.

- Test interactions with the knowledge base and validate AI-generated responses for accuracy, context, and relevance.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on various modules.

- Validate RESTful APIs used for front-end and back-end integration.

- Identify, report, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.

- Work with AI/ML teams to test prompt-response consistency, fallback handling, and edge-case scenarios.

- Ensure application behavior across various browsers, screen sizes, and platforms.

- Automate repetitive tests using Selenium/WebDriver, Cypress, or other tools.

- Collaborate with the dev team in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Key Skills Required :

- Manual and Automation Testing of web applications.

- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies and best practices.

- Experience testing AI-driven applications or NLP-based systems (preferred).

- Familiarity with Knowledge Base structures or FAQ systems.

- Proficient in tools such as :

1. Selenium, Python, Cypress, or equivalent automation tools.

2. Postman for API testing.

3. JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools.

- Exposure to browser dev tools, console logs, and debugging UI issues.

- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UI-related validations.

- Understanding of AI model behavior, chatbot workflows, and prompt engineering basics (a plus).

Good to Have :

- Experience testing AI-generated outputs for accuracy, tone, bias, or hallucinations.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing workflows.

- Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and testing tools like Axe.

Educational Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
