Role : Workday Techno-Functional Consultant

Location : Chennai

Job Type : Full-time

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Techno-Functional Consultant with 4-8 years of experience to

join our dynamic HR Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both technical

and functional aspects of Workday, enabling seamless integrations, custom reporting, and configuration

across multiple Workday modules. This role requires a consultant who can partner closely with HR and IT

teams to design, implement, and optimize Workday solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and support Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, and Studio tools

to ensure data flows smoothly across systems.

- Configure security settings to ensure appropriate data access and compliance with organizational

policies.

- Develop custom reports and calculated fields to provide actionable insights to business users.

- Lead data conversion activities during Workday implementation or upgrades, ensuring data

integrity and completeness.

- Provide functional expertise and configuration support for Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent &

Performance, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, and Benefits Administration modules.

- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and

troubleshoot issues.

- Participate in Workday upgrades and releases, evaluating impacts and implementing necessary

changes.

- Document configuration, integration design, and business processes to support knowledge

transfer and audit compliance.

- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders as required.

Required Qualifications :

- 4 to 8 years of experience as a Workday Techno-Functional Consultant or similar role.

- Strong experience with Workday integrations including EIB, Core Connectors, and Studio.

- Proficiency in building custom reports and calculated fields.

- In-depth knowledge of Workday security configuration and role-based access controls.

- Experience in data conversions and migrations within Workday projects.

- Functional expertise in Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Time Tracking, Absence

Management, Payroll, and Benefits Administration.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical

stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills :

- Workday Certification(s) in relevant modules.

- Experience with Workday implementation lifecycle.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

- Exposure to other HRIS or ERP systems is a plus.
