The Engineer in the Core and Services QE organization will collaborate with network and systems engineers to understand the end-to-end (E2E) architecture of engineering platform nodes.

The role is responsible for validation, troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless integration of customer services across internal and external partner teams.

The engineer will contribute to validating critical telecom services, including offers, billing, packet core, real time charging, and provisioning solutionsright from SIM activation to engineering platform nodes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute acceptance test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, and E2E testing.

- Validate end-to-end subscriber provisioning, converged charging, broadband charging (MBC), prepaid, EMM, roaming, MVNE systems, and ensure smooth lab-to-operations handover.

- Provide expert-level diagnostic investigation for platform and interoperability issues impacting services and products.

- Perform validation and troubleshooting of APIs (SOAP, XML, REST, JSON) and web services.

- Conduct mobile test traffic generation (calls, data, SMS) and validate CDR (Call Detail Record) generation.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with vendors, engineering, and internal teams to triage new and existing features.

- Provide daily status updates to management on project priorities and deliverables.

- Ensure documentation, reporting, and knowledge-sharing using tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Wireshark, and qTest Manager.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience in test design, planning, execution, and validation of applications and platforms.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in mobile platforms; ability to work well under pressure.

- Hands-on experience with telecom billing systems (e.g., SAMSON, prepaid platforms) and telecom protocols.

- Solid understanding of networking technologies and protocols : TCP, UDP, HTTP/S, SIP, DIAMETER, LDAP, SS7, MSRP, tunneling, IPv4/IPv6.

- Proficiency with operating systems : UNIX, Linux.

- Knowledge of databases : SQL, MongoDB (schema design, data modeling, scalability, and security).

- Familiarity with IMS and Packet Core services (e.g., PCRF, GGSN).

- Exposure to cloud architecture and DevOps technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

- Excellent communication skills to interface with users, technical teams, and management for requirements gathering, technical design discussions, and product validation.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Nokia and Ericsson platforms for subscriber provisioning in wireless carrier systems.

- Background in telecom service validation and troubleshooting across billing and provisioning flows.

- Good knowledge of wireless telephony fundamentals and mobile network architectures.
