Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer or Configuration Management Specialist to establish and manage a structured code development and promotion process for SailPoint using Jira, Bitbucket, and best-practice CI/CD and QA controls.

The role involves implementing effective segregation of duties, enabling code change governance, and eliminating direct production changes by engineers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement a robust code change management process using Jira and Bitbucket for SailPoint development.

- Integrate QA checkpoints, peer reviews, and approval workflows into the development lifecycle.

- Enforce segregation of duties (SoD) to prevent unauthorized or uncontrolled code promotions to production.

- Establish a CI/CD pipeline (if feasible) that includes version control, automated testing, and secure deployment practices.

- Work with engineering teams to shift from direct changes in SailPoint to a structured, ticket-driven deployment process.

- Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for code promotions, rollback plans, and audit logging.

- Collaborate with security, compliance, and audit teams to ensure governance and traceability.

- Conduct training sessions for internal developers on the new processes and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, configuration management, or similar roles.

- Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Bitbucket.

- Experience managing code workflows in environments such as SailPoint, or similar identity and access management (IAM) platforms.

- Familiarity with QA practices, code review protocols, and promotion processes.

- Knowledge of access control models, especially around SoD (Segregation of Duties).

- Ability to automate workflows and integrate tools across the development lifecycle.

- Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).

- Knowledge of SailPoint IdentityNow or IdentityIQ.

- Experience in compliance-driven environments (e.g., SOX, HIPAA).
