Job Description

Role Overview :

We are hiring a Senior Test Engineer with deep expertise in LTE protocol testing and cross-functional debugging.

The candidate will be responsible not only for executing and analyzing tests but also for mentoring junior engineers, driving test strategy improvements, and contributing to the validation of next-generation telecom solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead LTE protocol and performance testing activities, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

- Perform detailed root cause analysis of failures and provide actionable insights.

- Collaborate with development and integration teams to validate complex protocol fixes.

- Troubleshoot and reproduce customer-reported issues, ensuring quick resolution.

- Review and enhance test cases, frameworks, and methodologies for higher efficiency.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior test engineers.

- Ensure system-level compliance with 3GPP standards across GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/LTE technologies.

- Document test results, defect trends, and provide recommendations for product quality improvement.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test planning, automation, and process optimization.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, or related field.

- 5- 8 years of hands-on experience in LTE/4G protocol and system-level testing.

- Strong expertise in call processing flows, attach procedures, mobility management, and handovers as per 3GPP standards.

- Proven ability in analyzing complex issues using protocol analyzers, logging tools, and debugging methodologies.

- Knowledge of interoperability testing (IoT), performance benchmarking, and end-to-end validation.

- Exposure to VoLTE, IMS, or 5G NR concepts will be a strong plus.

- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small testing teams.

- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
