Required Skills :
- VMware Infrastructure (Expert Level):
- Administer and maintain VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi)
- Advanced expertise in VM cloning, snapshot management, backup/recovery, DRS, FTT (Failures To Tolerate), and Storage vMotion
- Perform infrastructure scaling and optimization
- Troubleshoot and optimize VM performance and resource allocation
- Deep understanding of VMware internals including command-line tools (esxcli, PowerCLI, vSphere CLI) and architecture
- Manage VM lifecycle including provisioning, patching, capacity planning, and performance tuning
- Maintain and monitor multiple VMs hosting terabytes of data
Windows Server Administration :
- Expert-level management of Windows Server environments including 2016, 2019, and newer
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and domain controller replication
- IIS configuration, deployment of .NET/web applications, certificate management, and hardening
- Ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements
- Handle audits, secrets/password management, and configuration baselines
- Experience with Windows Clustering and SQL Server Cluster configuration and troubleshooting
- Expertise in storage management, disk optimization, and log analysis
Cloud Infrastructure (AWS) :
- Understand AWS cost optimization strategies, reserved instance planning, and lifecycle policies
- Configure and manage AWS Route 53, including DNS and elastic IPs
- Implement and manage AWS Lambda functions and serverless architectures
- Monitor and audit AWS environments for security and compliance
Monitoring and Automation :
- Implement and manage enterprise-grade monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Automate routine tasks and reporting via scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
- Perform root cause analysis and preventative maintenance
Required Qualifications :
- 1015+ years of experience in server and infrastructure administration in enterprise environments
- Deep hands-on expertise in VMware ecosystem including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, DRS, HA, and FTT
- Extensive experience with Windows Server administration and IIS
- Strong understanding of security best practices, SOX compliance, and audit protocols
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure (100s of VMs, 100s of TB of data)
- Hands-on AWS experience in managing EC2, S3, Lambda, Route 53, and cost management
- Advanced troubleshooting, documentation, and change management capabilities
Preferred Qualifications :
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator / Azure Administrator
- ITIL Foundations or relevant process certifications
Soft Skills :
- Ability to work independently and own the full server lifecycle
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to collaborate with development, security, and DevOps teams
