Job Description :

Responsibilities :

Primary Responsibilities (High Priority) :

- VMware Virtualization Management :

- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of ESXi/vCenter

- Creation and management of virtual machines (VMs)

- vSphere High Availability (HA) and DRS setup

- vSAN and vSphere Distributed Switch management

- Monitoring & Automation :

- Monitor performance and resource utilization of virtual environments

- Automate deployment and task orchestration (Terraform, Ansible)

- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents

- Storage & Network Management :

- Manage Storage Area Network (SAN) environments

- Backups and recovery using Veeam

- Network performance tuning, VLANs, and connectivity protocols (NFS, iSCSI)

Secondary Responsibilities (Medium Priority) :

- Operating Systems & Infrastructure :

- Linux server administration

- Administer and support infrastructure tools and services

- Implement security best practices and regular patching

- Scripting and Automation :

- Scripting with PowerShell, Python, or similar tools

- Automate operational tasks and reporting

- Documentation & Reporting :

- Maintain documentation of systems, networks, and incident resolution

- Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and create knowledge base entries

Additional Skills (Desirable) :

- Familiarity with ITIL processes

- Exposure to hybrid and public cloud platforms

- Soft skills for handling clients and cross-functional teams

Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory) :

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

- CompTIA Security+ or similar
