VMware Engineer - vCenter Operations

Responsibilities :

- Administer and optimize VMware vSphere environments and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), including vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and NSX.

- Design, deploy, and manage VMware Tanzu to support Kubernetes and containerized applications.

- Automate and orchestrate VMware workflows using vRealize Automation (vRA) and PowerCLI.

- Ensure high availability and performance of infrastructure, with a focus on capacity planning and optimization.

- Lead troubleshooting and incident management for VMware-based environments.

- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud, DevOps, security) to drive VMware-related initiatives.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest VMware technologies and industry trends.

Requirements :

Mandatory Skills :

- VMware VCF+NSX + Tanzu years of experience in VMware administration, with a focus on VCF, NSX, and Tanzu.

- Must have work experience in a Linux Environment.

- Hands-on experience with VMware Tanzu for container management.

- Deep understanding of vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T/V, and SDDC Manager.

- Experience with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) and Kubernetes.

- Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls.

- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (PowerCLI, Python, etc).

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- VMware certifications (VCP-DCV, VCAP-DCV, VCIX, VCDX) are highly desirable.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
