Job Description : VMware Architect (Data Center & Cloud Migration)

Certification as mandatory at least VCP

Role Overview :

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across VMware products, hybrid cloud strategies, disaster recovery, and automation frameworks, with proven experience leading large-scale data center and application migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead data center migration and workload transformation projects, including VMware HCX-based hybrid cloud migrations.

- Implement and optimize VMware NSX (NSX-T/NSX-V) for micro-segmentation, SDN, and secure multi-tenant environments.

- Design and manage business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and replication technologies.

- Define and deploy VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Cloud Director, and VMware Horizon VDI environments.

- Leverage VMware Aria / vRealize Suite (Operations, Automation, Orchestrator) for monitoring, automation, and orchestration of

enterprise environments.

- Oversee network and storage integration including VLANs, vSwitches, Distributed Virtual Switches (DVS), firewalls, load balancers,

and enterprise storage arrays (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure).

- Collaborate with application, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth application cutovers and workload migrations.

- Ensure backup and recovery strategies are in place using Veeam, Rubrik, Veritas, or Commvault.

- Develop and implement automation scripts using PowerCLI, PowerShell, and Ansible to improve efficiency and reduce manual

tasks.

- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and governance across migration factory and infrastructure teams.

- Produce high-quality architecture documents, runbooks, and migration playbooks for enterprise adoption
