Role Overview :

As a Lead QA Engineer at VML Enterprise Solutions, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of QA engineers in Noida/Gurgaon, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies, design test plans, and execute test cases. Your expertise in automation testing, particularly with Playwright and TypeScript, will be crucial in implementing a shift-left testing approach and driving continuous improvement in our QA processes. This role directly impacts the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our clients by ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of performance, security, and usability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance on test methodologies, automation frameworks, and best practices.

- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies and test plans for new and existing software products, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript, focusing on efficiency and maintainability.

- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling continuous testing and faster feedback loops.

- Champion a shift-left testing approach, promoting early involvement of QA in the software development lifecycle to identify and resolve issues proactively.

- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues, ensuring timely and effective bug fixes.

- Utilize tools like Github Copilot and Cursor to enhance coding efficiency and code quality.

- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies, identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design and implement robust automation testing frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

- Proven experience in leading and mentoring QA teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including shift-left testing and continuous testing.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.

- Familiarity with tools like Github Copilot and Cursor for code generation and editing.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
