About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong expertise in cloud platforms, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
The role focuses on managing secure, scalable, and highly available systems across on-prem and cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will proactively maintain infrastructure, strengthen security posture, and ensure business continuity through best-in-class operational practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Cloud & Infrastructure Management :
- Manage, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Provision and administer compute, storage, networking, and IAM resources.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and cost optimization of infrastructure.
- Support hybrid environments integrating on-premise and cloud systems.
System Administration :
- Administer Linux and Windows servers, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
- Manage virtualization platforms and container environments (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Handle system performance tuning, capacity planning, and uptime monitoring.
- Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and asset inventories.
Cybersecurity & Compliance :
- Implement and manage security controls, firewalls, endpoint protection, and access policies.
- Monitor systems for security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing support.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices (ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS benchmarks, etc.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and incident response processes.
Network & Access Management :
- Configure and manage network services including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Implement identity and access management (IAM), MFA, and least-privilege access controls.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
Monitoring, Automation & Optimization :
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts or infrastructure-as-code where applicable.
- Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and security risks.
Collaboration & Support :
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application deployments.
- Provide Level 2/3 infrastructure and security support.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.
Required Skills & Experience :
Experience :
- 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer / Cloud Administrator.
Technical Skills :
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (at least one).
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing).
- Experience with backup, DR, and high availability architectures.
Cybersecurity :
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, antivirus, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
- Understanding of IAM, MFA, encryption, and secure access controls.
Good-to-Have Skills :
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Security certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, AWS Security Specialty (preferred).
Educational Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred)
