Description :

The Trade Settlement Manual Tester plays a critical role in validating custody service functionalities within the TCS BaNCS platform. The role requires a deep understanding of TCS BaNCS custody platform and GCC market settlement practices. The tester will review high level Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) submitted by TCS, and collaborate with business, operations, and technology stakeholders.

The tester will design and execute test cases across modules such as trade settlement, cash and position management, billing, cash management, reconciliation and End User Reporting (EUR). Responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing defects, publishing execution reports, and ensuring timely resolution. The role supports trade processing via SWIFT, manual input, and file uploads, and contributes to the overall quality and reliability of custody services.

Requirements Analysis :

- Review and analyse Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) to ensure a clear understanding of business and functional needs.

Test Planning & Execution :

- Design, document, and execute comprehensive test cases across GCC markets, ensuring compliance with market regulations and internal SLAs.

- Cover key functional areas related to trade settlement including :

1. Trade settlement workflows

2. Cash and position management

3. Billing processes

4. End User Reporting (EUR)

5. Static data setups

6. Payments and reconciliations

Static Data & Configuration Management :

- Configure and maintain static data such as :

1. Client and counter-party profiles.

2. Securities and cash accounts.

3. Notification and billing rules.

Validation & Reporting :

- Validate trade processing via SWIFT messages, manual input, and file uploads.

- Apply knowledge of GCC market matching and settlement processes during testing.

- Generate and validate EUR reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Validate cash and position movements and ensure billing accuracy.

Defect Management & Documentation :

- Track and manage defects using JIRA, Zephyr and publish detailed execution and defect status reports.

- Utilize JIRA and Confluence for test management, documentation, and collaboration.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work closely with business, operations, technology, and vendor teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless service delivery.

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and maintain effective communication throughout the testing lifecycle.

Process Improvement & Automation :

- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and efficiency gains to improve service quality and performance.

- Support initiatives aimed at streamlining custody operations and reducing manual effort.

Platform Expertise :

- Demonstrate hands-on experience with the TCS BaNCS GSP Custody platform, including its functionalities and operational workflows.

Operational Oversight :

- Oversee cash management operations, including reconciliations, funding, and settlement-related payment instructions.

- Set up and validate billing processes to ensure accurate invoicing.

- Prepare and validate end-user reports for internal and external clients.

Testing Lifecycle Participation :

- Actively participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and pre-production validations.

8. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the technology sector.

- Proven track record of successfully managing and improving of IT services.

- Proven experience on applications used to manage custody services and other relevant services.

- Strong technical background with expertise in Investment banking products and all services under security services and in specific custody services

- Proven proficiency in implementing and adopting cloud technologies.
