Virtusa - ServiceNow SPM Developer

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow SPM Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) to design, configure, develop, and support ServiceNow SPM solutions. The role will involve translating business requirements into scalable platform solutions, developing workflows and integrations, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to improve portfolio, project, demand, and resource management processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, customize, and develop ServiceNow SPM solutions based on business requirements.

- Work on SPM modules such as Project Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Resource Management, Strategic Planning, and Financial Planning.

- Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions, user stories, and development tasks.

- Configure and develop workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, notifications, and access controls.

- Customize forms, fields, tables, views, and related lists to support SPM processes.

- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications using REST, SOAP, and scripted web services.

- Support data migration, data validation, and integration-related activities.

- Develop reports, dashboards, and performance analytics to support portfolio and project decision-making.

- Perform unit testing, system integration testing, UAT support, defect resolution, and deployment activities.

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution for platform, workflow, integration, and data-related problems.

- Support ServiceNow upgrades, enhancements, patches, and ongoing platform maintenance.

- Collaborate with project managers, portfolio managers, business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders.

- Ensure development follows ServiceNow best practices, security standards, governance requirements, and SDLC processes.

- Prepare technical documentation, configuration documents, deployment plans, and support procedures.

Requirements :

- 5 - 10 years of experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and implementation.

- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).

- Good understanding of SPM processes, including demand, project, portfolio, resource, financial, and strategic planning.

- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow development, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Workflows/Flow Designer, Notifications, and ACLs.

- Experience with ServiceNow data model, tables, forms, fields, catalog items, reports, and dashboards.

- Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, and scripted web services and third-party integrations.

- Good knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.

- Experience with data migration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.

- Understanding of Agile delivery, SDLC processes, change management, and platform governance.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CIS-SPM would be an advantage.
