Virtusa - Senior Test Automation Engineer - UFT/Functional Testing

Role & Responsibilities :

Senior Test Automation Engineer :

Experience :

- 5+ years of extensive experience in Software Testing and Test Automation experience.

- Strong expertise in designing, developing, executing, and maintaining enterprise-level test automation frameworks and release-level regression test suites using Unified Functional Testing.

- Hands-on experience in performance and load testing, including test planning, script development, execution, analysis, and performance tuning recommendations.

- Proven knowledge of software testing methodologies, test planning, test case design, automation best practices, and quality assurance processes.

- Strong understanding of Banking, Financial Services, Logistics, and Insurance business processes, enabling effective validation of complex business requirements.

- Experienced in working with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and executing SQL queries for test data validation, backend testing, and defect analysis.

- Proficient in defect tracking, test management, and project collaboration tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, and Azure DevOps (VSTS).

- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Skilled in defect lifecycle management, root cause analysis, test execution reporting, and stakeholder communication.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a strong focus on delivering high-quality software solutions in fast-paced environments.

- Collaborates effectively with business analysts, developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and continuous quality improvement.
