Virtusa - Quality Assurance Engineer - Python/Robot Framework

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Backend/API Developer with a strong emphasis on Automation App Testing.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation testing tools and a solid understanding of the full development lifecycle.

This role requires a proactive individual who can automate tests across multiple platforms and technologies, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.

- Implement and execute automated test cases using tools such as Selenium, ParaSoft, and Robot Framework.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the development process.

- Manage and track issues and defects throughout the development lifecycle.

- Utilize test case management packages to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Participate in in-sprint test automation efforts to enhance testing efficiency.

- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Mandatory Skills :

- 6+ years of experience in Automation Testing tools (Selenium, ParaSoft, DB testing).

- Strong knowledge of Robot Framework.

- Demonstrated experience in automating tests across multiple platforms and technologies.

- Hands-on experience with Issue and Defect Management.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, Python, Java).

- Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

- Experience in performance testing and security testing.

- Knowledge of cloud services and microservices architecture.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
