Virtusa - Full Stack Developer - Application Design & Architecture

Description :

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Full Stack Developer with 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise across frontend, backend, DevOps, and database technologies, with prior exposure to Banking, NBFC, or Fintech domains preferred. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role requiring ownership, problem-solving ability, and end-to-end delivery capability.

Key Responsibilities :

Frontend Development :

- Translate UI/UX wireframes, prototypes, and designs into clean, reusable, and high-performance code.

- Build modern component-based architectures and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

- Optimize frontend applications for speed, scalability, accessibility, and user experience.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver seamless user journeys.

Backend Development :

- Develop and maintain robust backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.

- Build scalable microservices and orchestration workflows for business processes.

- Integrate Python services with frontend applications, enterprise middleware, and databases.

- Handle packaging, release management, and deployment of Python applications in closed/restricted

environments.

- Ensure code quality through unit testing, logging, exception handling, and performance tuning.

Database & Integration :

- Work extensively with Oracle 19c / 21c databases.

- Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, and data integration scripts.

- Integrate backend systems with Oracle DB and enterprise systems.

- Ensure data integrity, security, and performance in production environments.

DevOps / Deployment :

- Containerize applications using Docker.

- Manage deployments and orchestration using Kubernetes.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / Azure Pipelines.

- Automate build, deployment, and release processes.

- Support deployments across Linux/Windows environments.

Operating Systems & Environment Support :

- Strong working knowledge of RedHat Linux and Windows environments.

- Troubleshoot environment issues, deployment configurations, and system dependencies.

- Experience in working within secure or enterprise-controlled environments.

Collaboration & Engineering Practices :

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and release planning.

- Follow software engineering best practices including coding standards, version control, documentation, and testing.

- Mentor junior developers when needed and contribute to technical discussions.

- Take ownership of modules/features from requirement gathering to production deployment.
