Virtusa - Automation Tester - Playwright Testing

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Playwright Automation Tester with strong hands-on expertise in test automation and modern web application testing. The ideal candidate should have solid experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Playwright and proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C#.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation test scripts using Playwright.

- Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks for web applications.

- Create, execute, and maintain automated test cases covering functional and regression scenarios.

- Analyze application requirements and identify appropriate test scenarios for automation.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.

- Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and perform troubleshooting and debugging.

- Identify, document, and track defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution.

- Maintain test scripts and frameworks as applications evolve.

- Contribute to improving test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall software quality.

- Participate in code reviews and follow automation testing standards and best practices.

Requirements :

- 5 - 10 years of experience in Software Testing, with strong hands-on experience in Test Automation.

- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation testing.

- Proficiency in at least one of JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C#.

- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.

- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Experience with test execution, defect tracking, debugging, and root-cause analysis.

- Good understanding of CI/CD and continuous testing practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.
