Vikruthi Technologies - Automation Test Lead - API Testing

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Lead with strong expertise in Java-based test automation, API testing, and microservices testing.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing reusable automation frameworks, validating REST APIs, and integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure software quality and reliable releases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks using REST Assured and Core Java.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts for REST APIs and microservices-based applications.

- Validate API requests and responses, status codes, authentication, error handling, business logic, and data integrity.

- Build reusable test components using POJOs and Page Object Model (POM), where applicable.

- Develop, organise, and execute automated test suites using TestNG, including test configuration, assertions, and execution management.

- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of backend services and APIs.

- Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins pipelines to support continuous testing and release validation.

- Use Git for version control, collaboration, and maintenance of automation scripts.

- Generate and maintain Allure Reports to communicate test results, execution status, defect trends, and test coverage.

- Analyse failures, investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.

- Review automation scripts and test framework design to improve code quality, reusability, maintainability, and execution efficiency.

- Guide team members on automation practices, test design, coding standards, and defect reporting.

- Contribute to test planning, effort estimation, quality reporting, and continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 - 8 years of experience in software testing, QA automation, or quality engineering.

- Strong hands-on proficiency in Core Java, including OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, and coding fundamentals.

- Strong experience with REST Assured for API automation testing.

- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and microservices-based architectures.

- Experience using TestNG for test execution, assertions, test organisation, and suite management.

- Understanding of POJOs for API request and response serialisation and deserialisation.

- Familiarity with the Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation framework design, where

applicable.

- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, and Allure Reports.

- Understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, and API validation.

- Experience with debugging, defect tracking, test execution analysis, and regression testing.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide team members and work

effectively with development teams.
