Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join our team in Canada, focusing on the intersection of traditional data architecture and emerging Agentic AI technologies. In this role, you will bridge the gap between robust ETL processes and intelligent, autonomous data systems.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams and financial stakeholders to design data pipelines that not only move and transform information but also feed into sophisticated AI agents. Your work will directly influence the efficiency of our data-driven decision-making processes and the performance of our next-generation financial applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL and SSIS to ensure high-quality data availability for downstream financial applications.

- Design and implement complex T-SQL stored procedures and data models that support the evolving requirements of our capital markets clients.

- Integrate Agentic AI frameworks with existing data infrastructure to enable autonomous data processing and intelligent insight generation.

- Develop and optimize Python-based scripts to automate data workflows and enhance the interoperability between legacy databases and modern AI models.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data specifications, ensuring alignment with regulatory and performance standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues to minimize downtime and maintain the integrity of critical financial reporting systems.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing large-scale data pipelines using SQL, T-SQL, and SSIS within a professional environment.

- Proven ability to leverage Python for data manipulation and automation, with a strong understanding of modern data modeling techniques.

- Hands-on experience building and deploying Agentic AI solutions using LangChain or similar frameworks to create autonomous data workflows.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment, maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.

- A minimum of 5 - 12 years of experience in data engineering or a related technical field, preferably within the financial services sector.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
