Role Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong experience in testing serverless data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of data workflows built on modern cloud architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for serverless data pipelines

- Validate data integrity, transformations, and end-to-end ETL workflows

- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing for cloud-native applications

- Test and validate pipelines built using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, and S3

- Work closely with data engineers, developers, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables

- Automate test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines

- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution

- Perform data validation using SQL and ensure accuracy across large datasets

- Monitor pipeline performance and ensure reliability in production environments

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 - 8 years of experience in QA, with a focus on data engineering or ETL testing

- Strong understanding of serverless architecture and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)

- Hands-on experience with testing data pipelines and ETL processes

- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis

- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting (Python preferred)

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and performance tuning

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses

- Exposure to AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, and CloudWatch

- Understanding of big data technologies and distributed systems

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
