What You Will Do :
- Design, build, and deliver scalable features for a modern, cloud-based data platform, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric solutions.
- Lead the modernization of legacy SQL Server and SSIS workloads, transitioning them to cloud-native architectures while maintaining reliability for business-critical operations.
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of a lightweight data governance framework, including data quality, cataloging, and monitoring capabilities.
- Evaluate and make well-reasoned technical decisions that balance near-term business needs with long-term platform sustainability, considering trade-offs and downstream impacts.
- Assess existing data systems and actively drive standardization and modernization initiatives across the data ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable data solutions.
- Promote best practices in code quality, testing, observability, and operational excellence across the platform.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Proven, hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting production workloads on Microsoft Fabric.
- Solid experience with SQL Server and SSIS, including maintaining ETL pipelines, optimizing SQL workloads, and supporting on-premises or hybrid data environments.
- 6-10+ years of experience building, operating, and optimizing data pipelines, data models, and data warehouses that support mission-critical business processes.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with working knowledge of at least one system-level language (e.g., C#, Java, or C++).
- Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement in engineering practices, including testing, monitoring, reliability, and maintainability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work hours that provide meaningful overlap with Pacific Time.
- Willingness to participate in occasional weekend or after-hours support when required.
- Prior experience in the Investment Management or Asset Management domain is a strong plus.
