Job Summary :


We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Lead with strong expertise in VMware virtualization and NetApp storage to manage and optimize enterprise infrastructure operations. This role combines hands-on technical depth with leadership responsibilities for a global, 24x7 environment.


Key Responsibilities :


Leadership & Operations :


- Lead and mentor the offshore IT operations team, ensuring SLA adherence and operational excellence.


- Manage shift schedules, capacity planning, and staff development for continuous service delivery.


- Act as primary escalation point for high-priority VMware and NetApp infrastructure issues.


VMware Administration :


- Oversee VMware environments including vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, SRM, and VDI.


- Manage and optimize compute resources, high availability, and disaster recovery setups.


- Implement and monitor performance, capacity, and automation within VMware infrastructure.


NetApp Storage Management :


- Administer NetApp ONTAP storage systems including SnapMirror, SnapVault, CIFS/DFS, and SAN zoning.


- Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery for storage infrastructure.


- Perform capacity planning, patching, and lifecycle management of NetApp systems.


Incident & Change Management :


- Manage incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive actions for VMware and NetApp systems.


- Oversee ITIL-based change and patch management processes.


Security & Compliance :


- Ensure compliance with SOX, ISO, and regulatory requirements in virtualization and storage domains.


- Collaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain audit readiness.


Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.


- 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.


- Hands-on expertise in VMware (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, SRM, VDI) and NetApp (ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault,

SAN zoning).


- Strong background in ITIL-based incident/change management.


- Proven experience managing offshore operations in a 24x7 global environment.


- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.


- ITIL certification preferred.
