Vice President - React Native

Role Overview :

- We are looking for a seasoned VP React Native Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of high-performance, scalable mobile applications.

- This role requires a strong blend of hands-on engineering expertise, architectural leadership, and team management, with exposure to modern frontend frameworks and backend ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the development of scalable and high-performance mobile applications using React Native

- Build responsive, accessible UI components and screens using TypeScript/JavaScript and Redux

- Design and implement robust navigation patterns and mobile architecture

- Integrate secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, biometrics SDKs) and manage token lifecycles

- Collaborate with backend teams (Java/Spring Boot) for API design, contract-first development, and error handling

- Consume and optimize RESTful APIs and third-party SDK integrations

- Drive performance optimization (lazy loading, code splitting, profiling) and ensure near crash-free applications

- Enforce secure coding standards (OWASP), accessibility, and observability practices

- Lead code reviews, testing (unit/UI), and release cycles

- Mentor engineering teams and ensure adherence to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

- Drive mobile-first product thinking and UI/UX excellence

Technical Skills & Requirements :

Core Competencies :

- Proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript, Redux

- Hands-on experience with Angular (good to have)

- Strong backend exposure with Java (821), Spring Boot & Microservices architecture

- Experience with REST API design and integration

- Knowledge of secure storage, authentication flows, and mobile security best practices

- Experience working with application servers (Tomcat)

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

- Expertise in modular architecture and scalable system design

- Understanding of event-driven systems and messaging architectures

- Experience with Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred/Good-to-Have Skills :

- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab

- Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices

- Python scripting

- Testing frameworks: Jest, React Testing Library, Appium, Detox

- Experience with iOS/Android app distribution

- Third-party SDK integrations

- Observability tools: ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics

What Were Looking For :

- Proven experience in leading large engineering teams and mobile platforms

- Ability to balance hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities

- Experience in banking/fintech digital onboarding systems is a plus
