Hiring : VP - QA Automation (Capital Markets).
We are looking for a Vice President - QA Automation to lead quality engineering initiatives across Capital Markets platforms within a leading Investment Banking setup.
This role requires strong domain depth + automation leadership + stakeholder management experience.
What Were Looking For :
Experience :
- 8 to 10 years in QA / Test Automation.
- 5+ years in Capital Markets / Investment Banking domain.
- Experience operating at VP / AVP / Lead level.
Domain Expertise (Must Have) :
- Fixed Income / Repo / Securities Lending / Derivatives.
- Front-to-Back Trading lifecycle.
- Corporate Actions / Regulatory exposure (MiFID II, etc.
- Understanding of trading platforms / OMS / Market connectivity.
Technical Depth :
- Automation frameworks (Selenium / Robot Framework / BDD frameworks).
- API testing & integration testing.
- SQL & Unix/Linux.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and automation strategy.
Leadership & Governance :
- Leading QA strategy across programs.
- Managing cross-functional stakeholders (Dev, Ops, Product, Business).
- Experience in regulatory-driven or high-control banking environments.
- Exposure to global delivery models.
Key Responsibility Areas :
- Define and drive the enterprise-wide QA and test automation strategy across Capital Markets platforms.
- Establish scalable automation frameworks, standards, and best practices aligned with business goals.
- Lead QA transformation initiatives, shifting from manual to automation-first and quality engineering approaches.
- Ensure high automation coverage across applications including trading, risk, and post-trade systems.
- Drive implementation of robust automation frameworks (UI, API, and integration layers).
- Oversee continuous testing practices integrated with CI/CD pipelines to enable faster releases.
- Improve test efficiency, reduce cycle time, and enhance defect detection rates.
- Ensure QA processes are aligned with front-to-back trading lifecycle including Fixed Income, Derivatives, Repo, and Securities Lending.
- Validate systems against regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II) and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure accurate testing of trading workflows, corporate actions, and market connectivity.
- Establish QA governance models, metrics, and reporting frameworks across programs.
- Monitor quality KPIs such as defect leakage, automation coverage, release readiness, and production stability.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements within banking environments.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Business, Product, and Operations to align QA objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor on quality engineering and testing best practices.
- Lead cross-functional teams across global delivery models (onshore/offshore).
- Drive collaboration between development, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing QA and automation teams.
- Define skill development plans and drive upskilling in automation, domain, and modern QA practices.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and implement modern QA tools, frameworks, and technologies.
- Promote adoption of AI/ML in testing, test data management, and predictive quality analytics.
- Drive innovation in automation, performance testing, and environment management.
- Ensure high-quality, defect-free releases with minimal production issues.
- Improve time-to-market for trading and capital markets applications.
