Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Vice President - Technology to lead the design, delivery, modernization, and scaling of large-scale Mutual Fund technology platforms. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in the Indian Mutual Fund ecosystem, including distributor, exchange, RTA, AMC, registrar, transaction processing, SIP, mandates, onboarding, and investor servicing platforms.

The role requires a strong blend of technology leadership, project delivery excellence, architecture governance, stakeholder management, and platform scalability expertise. The candidate will be responsible for driving strategic technology initiatives, leading high-performance engineering teams, and ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, resilient, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities :

Technology Leadership :

- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade Mutual Fund platforms and digital transformation initiatives.

- Define and execute technology strategy aligned with business growth objectives.

- Drive architecture modernization initiatives, including migration from monolithic applications to microservices-based architectures.

- Establish technology standards, engineering best practices, and governance frameworks.

- Collaborate with business, product, compliance, operations, and external stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.

Project & Program Delivery :

- Own the delivery of large-scale technology programs with multiple stakeholders and vendors.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality standards.

- Drive Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies across technology teams.

- Manage program risks, dependencies, escalations, and stakeholder communication.

- Build delivery roadmaps and monitor execution through defined KPIs and SLAs.

Platform Architecture & Engineering :

- Design and oversee highly scalable, fault-tolerant, low-latency systems capable of handling millions of daily transactions.

- Architect distributed systems supporting high transaction volumes and near real-time processing.

- Drive adoption of cloud-native and containerized architectures.

- Establish application performance, resiliency, scalability, and disaster recovery standards.

- Lead architecture reviews and technology decision-making forums.

Engineering Excellence :

- Build and mentor high-performing engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and support teams.

- Drive adoption of DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, observability, and SRE practices.

- Improve platform efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence.

- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management :

- Engage with senior leadership, regulatory bodies, AMCs, RTAs, distributors, and technology partners.

- Present technology roadmaps, delivery status, risks, and investment proposals to executive management.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise :

Domain Expertise :

- Strong experience in Indian Mutual Fund Platforms, Exchange-based Mutual Fund Systems, AMCs, RTAs, Wealth Management Platforms, Investment Distribution Platforms, or Capital Markets.

- Deep understanding of SIP/STP/SWP, transaction processing, mandates, MF Utility, investor lifecycle, and regulatory frameworks.

Technical Expertise :

- Architecture : Distributed Systems, Microservices, Event-Driven, DDD, API-First, High Availability, Performance Engineering.

- Cloud & DevOps : AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, IaC, SRE.

- Technologies : Java/GoLang, REST APIs, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, SQL/NoSQL.

Leadership Requirements :

- Proven experience leading teams of 50+ technology professionals.

- Strong people management, vendor management, and stakeholder influence.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. Master's degree (MBA/MTech) preferred.
