What are the ongoing responsibilities of a VP-Information Technology
.Strategic Leadership :
- Lead the global Quality Engineering (QE) organization, setting a compelling vision and strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Define and enforce enterprise-wide quality standards, engineering patterns, and reusable accelerators to drive consistency and scalability
- Champion a quality-first mindset across the technology landscape, embedding it into engineering culture and delivery practices
- Drive the transformation from traditional QA to modern, AI-augmented QE practices that ensure speed, reliability, and resilience
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate quality impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence :
- Partner with senior leadership across Lines of Business IT, Data, Cloud, and Security to embed QE, Automation, and Dev SecOps practices throughout the software lifecycle
- Influence and align cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations, to prioritize quality as a shared responsibility
- Translate business outcomes into measurable quality KPIs and ensure alignment with customer experience and operational goals
Organizational Design & Talent Development :
- Build and scale a world-class global QE organization with strong people leadership, talent development, and succession planning
- Mentor and grow next-generation quality leaders, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Design and evolve the QE organizational structure to support agility, scalability, and global delivery
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance risk, speed, and quality.
Technical Excellence & Innovation :
- Lead global teams to deliver automation at scale, including functional, performance, security, and observability testing
- Drive adoption of shift-left and shift-right practices to enable early defect detection and continuous feedback loops
- Champion AI-powered QE capabilities such as self-healing automation, defect prediction, intelligent test generation, and generative AI adoption
- Ensure robust test data management, environment provisioning, and CI/CD integration for seamless quality delivery
Domain Expertise & Business Alignment :
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the financial services industry, particularly the Asset Management domain, to contextualize quality strategies
- Lead quality transformation initiatives within value stream, agile, and DevOps-driven teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery velocity
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services (e.g, SOX, GDPR, SEC).
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Education :
- Bachelor's and Master's degree from a reputed institution for strategic leadership and business alignment.
- Quality & Testing : ISTQB Advanced, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE).
- Agile/DevOps : SAFe Agilist, Certified Scrum Professional, DevOps Foundation/Leader.
- Cloud & Automation : AWS/Azure/GCP certifications, Selenium/CI-CD related certifications.
- AI & Data : Certifications in AI/ML for QE (e.g, Coursera/Stanford AI Specializations, Generative AI applications).
- Financial Services Compliance : Exposure to regulatory frameworks (SOX, GDPR, SEC) via certifications or specialized training is a plus.
Experience - Core Skills :
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Quality Assurance/Engineering, with a strong focus on automation, DevOps, and enterprise-scale technology delivery.
- Leadership Experience : At least 5 years in senior leadership roles (Director/Head of QE/Engineering), leading global, cross-functional teams and driving quality transformation strategies at scale.
- Domain Experience : Minimum 5+ years in the financial services domain, ideally in asset management, banking, or fintech, with exposure to regulatory/compliance requirements.
- Transformation Experience : Demonstrated success in leading transitions from traditional QA to modern QE practices, including automation at scale, AI/ML adoption, and integration of DevOps/Agile models.

- Proven ability to take initiative and work under pressure in a changing, fast paced environment
