Overview :
At the VP grade, the Enterprise Architect (EA) plays a critical leadership role in shaping the organization's overall technology vision and strategy. This role bridges business objectives with technology execution, ensuring that the company's digital transformation initiatives are future-ready, scalable, and aligned with enterprise goals.
The EA drives end-to-end technology transformation, overseeing the architecture of platforms, products, and solutions while guiding teams across functions like Agile, DevOps, full-stack development, and modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Technology Strategy & Vision :
- Define and drive the enterprise-wide architecture roadmap, aligning with business goals.
- Lead adoption of new tech stack and ensure smooth product integration across platforms.
- Ensure scalability, security, and resilience in enterprise solutions.
2. Digital & Agile Transformation :
- Act as a Transformations Agile Coach, enabling teams to adopt SAFe / Agile frameworks.
- Redefine and streamline the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC/EDLC) processes to make them agile, efficient, and business-driven.
- Promote DevOps-first culture with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and continuous delivery.
3. Tech Modernization & Integration :
- Spearhead modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native, API-driven architectures.
- Integrate diverse business products, platforms, and technologies into a unified architecture.
- Introduce emerging technologies (AI/ML, microservices, serverless, data-driven solutions) where applicable.
4. Leadership & Stakeholder Management :
- Collaborate with business leaders, product heads, and technology teams to align architecture with enterprise outcomes.
- Mentor engineering leaders, solution architects, and technical managers to drive best practices.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the C-suite on technology investments and modernization.
5. Governance & Risk Management :
- Define enterprise architecture standards, guardrails, and governance processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational risk frameworks.
- Measure ROI of technology initiatives and drive cost optimization.
Required Skill Set :
Architecture & Development :
- Full-stack engineering expertise (front-end, back-end, APIs, databases).
- Deep understanding of DevOps tools, practices, and automation.
- Strong command over EDLC/SDLC methodologies.
- Cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Transformation & Modernization :
- Proven track record in technology modernization programs.
- Product integration across large, complex ecosystems.
- Leading adoption of new tech stacks with minimal disruption.
Leadership & Agile Coaching :
- Experience as a Transformation/Agile Coach at enterprise scale.
- Ability to drive cultural change towards Agile and DevOps mindsets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at VP and CxO levels.
Soft Skills :
- Strategic thinking with execution orientation.
