Role & Responsibilities :

- Define and execute the company's engineering strategy, technology roadmap, and delivery priorities in alignment with business and product objectives.

- Lead and scale the engineering organization, including team structure, hiring, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.

- Own end-to-end software development and delivery, ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, security, and scalability.

- Establish and improve engineering processes, development methodologies, code quality standards, and release practices.

- Partner closely with the CEO, CTO, Product, Design, Operations, and other leadership teams to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

- Drive the design and evolution of robust, scalable, and secure technology architecture.

- Identify and address technical debt, engineering bottlenecks, infrastructure challenges, and operational risks.

- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Establish and monitor engineering KPIs covering productivity, delivery predictability, system reliability, quality, and team performance.

- Manage engineering budgets, technology investments, vendors, and resource allocation effectively.

- Ensure appropriate practices around information security, data protection, compliance, and business continuity.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.

- Represent the engineering function at the senior leadership/executive level and contribute to broader business strategy.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- 10-12 years of overall experience in software engineering, technology, or product development, with significant experience in engineering leadership/management.

- Proven experience leading and scaling multi-disciplinary engineering teams, preferably across multiple products or technology domains.

- Experience managing engineering managers, tech leads, and senior engineers, rather than only individual contributors.

- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, cloud infrastructure, APIs, databases, DevOps, security, and modern engineering practices.

- Demonstrated track record of taking products/platforms from concept to production and scaling them reliably.

- Strong experience in people leadership, talent development, hiring, and building high-performing engineering teams.

- Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities, budgets, timelines, and customer needs.

- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with C-suite executives and cross-functional leadership.

- Experience working in a high-growth, startup, SaaS, product, or technology-driven environment would be advantageous.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

- Candidates who have previously held titles such as Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, Head of Engineering, or VP Engineering would be preferred.
