Role Summary :

The Senior Software QA Engineer is a leadership-heavy technical role responsible for architecting and maintaining high-quality standards for complex software products. With 15+ years of experience, you will lead the debugging and systematic testing of computational and data acquisition software. This role requires a master-level understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Bug Life Cycle, specifically within Agile environments. You will be responsible for designing automated frameworks, managing release cycles, and consulting directly with development engineers to resolve intricate system problems. From executing vulnerability tests to managing Docker and Kubernetes within CI/CD pipelines, you will ensure that software integration meets rigorous scientific and data processing standards.

Responsibilities :

- Strategic Test Planning : Develop, modify, and execute comprehensive software test plans and automated programs to maintain enterprise quality standards.

- Automation Framework Architecture : Design and implement scalable automation frameworks using Java and Python, adhering to the Page Object Model (POM).

- End-to-End Testing Leadership : Oversee functional and non-functional testing initiatives, utilizing tools like Playwright for UI and JMeter for performance/load testing.

- API & Service Testing : Execute advanced API automation and validation using Rest Assured, ensuring robust communication between microservices.

- Release & Team Management : Lead QA teams and manage the release process, ensuring that software updates are stable, documented, and delivered on schedule.

- CI/CD & DevOps Integration : Orchestrate quality gates within CI/CD processes, including Docker image creation and deployment within Kubernetes clusters.

- Security & Vulnerability Assessment : Conduct vulnerability testing and provide technical appraisals of systems to safeguard data acquisition and processing software.

- Defect Governance : Manage the full Bug Life Cycle using tools like Jira or Rally, conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions for complex defects.

- Collaborative Debugging : Consult with development teams to resolve cross-platform production issues and optimize system computation performance.

- Process Standardization : Analyze and author test standards and procedures, utilizing TestNG and Cucumber (BDD) to align testing with business requirements.

Technical Requirements :

- Core Experience : 15+ years in Software Quality Assurance with a strong background in release management and team leadership.

- Programming Mastery : Expert development and implementation knowledge in Java and Python.

- Automation Tooling : Hands-on proficiency with Playwright, JMeter, and Rest Assured.

- Framework Design : Strong skills in TestNG, Cucumber, and Page Object Model design.

- DevOps Stack : Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline integration.

- Management Tools : High proficiency in Jira, Rally, and standard defect tracking systems.

- Testing Methodologies : Deep understanding of Agile, SDLC, Vulnerability testing, and Test Coverage strategies.
