Job Description Network Engineer

Were looking for a hands-on Network Engineer to join our remote team in India, supporting our European customers. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing secure network infrastructure primarily working with FortiGate firewalls and Azure-based networking.

If you have a solid foundation in firewalls, VPNs, and basic networking principles, and you're eager to grow in a cloud-focused environment, wed love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :

- Maintain site-to-site VPNs and assist with firewall rule management.

- Support Azure networking tasks such as VNets, NSGs, routing, and VPN gateways.

- Occasionally assist with basic AWS networking (minimal).

- Handle basic on-prem network support (switches, cabling, connectivity checks below CCNA level).

- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve networking issues.

- Maintain accurate documentation of customer environments.

- Support change requests and incident resolution (L2 support).

Qualifications :

Ideal Experience :

- 7+ years of experience supporting network environments.

- Practical real (build from scratch, not using templates) experience with FortiGate or similar firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, etc.).

- Good understanding of VPNs, routing, and firewall concepts.

- Familiarity with Azure networking (basic level is okaywillingness to learn is key).

- Exposure to AWS networking is a bonus, but not essential.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have :

- Familiarity with change management processes and ITIL.

- Experience in customer-facing roles.
