Job Description :

Beyond the traditional Service Desk, it stands as the central authority and shared service delivery hub, orchestrating all operational workflows, processes, procedures, and tooling. Its a core delivery component of the Version 1 ASPIRE Managed Services offering that place AI, continuous improvement and business innovation at the heart of everything Version 1 does. With a focus on supporting self-service and automation, we utilise the best digital capabilities of the ServiceNow ITSM tooling product to provide the very best Experience to our Customers.
We are seeking an experienced ASPIRE Managed Service, Global Service Centre Configuration Manager, who is accountable for the Configuration Management practice which supports the entire ASPIRE Managed Service and its customers. This role ensures that all IT assets and configurations are accurately documented and maintained in line with the policies set out in the Configuration Management Plan.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage, maintain and develop our Service Now Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Manage the Configuration Items (CIs) in the CMDB, ensuring accuracy of CI class, hierarchy and relationship management
- Define Configuration Management processes and procedures in line with organizational policies and objectives.
- Maintain CI records in the CMDB through a structured change management process.
- Assure CMDB accuracy by regular, frequent audits and the resolution of discrepancies in configuration data.
- Collaborate with other APSIRE Managed Service teams and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of Configuration Management with all other ITSM processes.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date reporting of CIs to ASPIRE Managed Service stakeholders to assist in decision-making.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the Configuration Management practice.
Qualifications :
Skills, Education & Qualifications :
- Strong understanding of ITIL framework.
- Proven track record of performing Configuration Management using Service Now.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Highly focussed attention to accuracy and detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours if necessary.
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certificate is beneficial.
- Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) could be beneficial.
- At least 3 years of ITSM experience, with a strong focus on Configuration Management.
- Experience of working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Proven track record of managing complex IT configurations in a large organization
