As a L2/L3 QA Engineer at Versa Networks, you will be a critical member of the QA team working with the engineering group.

You will work on testing latest Networking products and technologies.

While your primary responsibilities would be QA of switching products, you are expected to be knowledgeable on Networking and L2/L3 technologies.

We expect you to have hands-on experience in software development methodologies and usage of tools.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION :

The candidate must have a bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study.

- Strong skills in testing large-scale software designs.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in tech/communication companies.

Roles And Responsibilities :

- Work with engineering teams to test new features.

- Write/maintain Test cases and Test Plans.

- Help reproduce the issues found during engineering test phase and field tests.

- Log in the bugs and help dev team reproduce/debug the issues.

- Come up with plan and execute performance, scalability, regression and feature testing.

- Help improve product quality and performance through regular technical feedback.

Essential Skills :

- Strong understanding of software engineering and SQA methodologies.

- Prior knowledge in testing and debugging Switching/Routing/L2-L3 services.

- Good understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite.

- Must be able to investigate an issue, isolate its probable cause, and provide a reliable method for reproducing the issue.

- Strong written and verbal communications including the ability to document test plans, test results and to interpret test results into actionable recommendations.

- Hands on experience of using traffic generator tools such as IxLoad, Spirent TestCenter etc will be a plus.
