Verinon - PeopleSoft Cloud Migration Specialist

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced PeopleSoft Cloud Migration Specialist to lead and execute the migration of PeopleSoft applications from on-premise infrastructure to leading cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure. This role requires a deep understanding of PeopleSoft administration, cloud architecture, and end-to-end migration strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in PeopleSoft along with hands-on expertise in cloud services and automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage the complete migration of PeopleSoft applications to cloud platforms.

- Configure and deploy PeopleSoft domains (Web/App/Process Scheduler) in cloud environments using EC2-based architecture.

- Collaborate with DBA and cloud engineering teams to migrate Oracle databases (EC2-hosted or RDS-based).

- Set up and manage shared file systems (EFS/FSx) for logs, reports, and batch output.

- Administer and maintain PeopleSoft environments using psadmin and PeopleTools utilities.

- Configure and manage Integration Broker (IB), SSL certificates, SSO/LDAP post-migration.

- Perform PeopleSoft environment configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrades.

- Work with cross-functional teams to assess existing infrastructure and develop cloud migration roadmaps.

- Ensure system availability, optimize performance, and implement disaster recovery strategies.

- Develop and execute cutover plans, including dry runs and rollback mechanisms.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues during and after migration.

- Document migration steps, configurations, and best practices.

- Provide post-migration support and ongoing maintenance of cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in PeopleSoft administration and infrastructure management.

- Demonstrated experience in migrating PeopleSoft applications to cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure).

- Deep understanding of PeopleSoft architecture including Web Server, Application Server, Process Scheduler, and Database.

- Expertise in PeopleTools (8.5x), Tuxedo, WebLogic, and Oracle Database.

- Proficient in PeopleSoft development tools : App Designer, SQR, PeopleCode, App Engine, and IB configuration.

- Experience configuring PeopleSoft in EC2-based Linux and/or Windows environments.

- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills across all application tiers.

- Familiarity with migration cutover planning, rollback strategies, and dry runs.

- Experience with automation and scripting using Shell, PowerShell, or Python.

- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.

- Familiarity with monitoring tools and logging frameworks.
