Vena - Manager - Software Testing

How You'll Make An Impact :

- Analyze existing projects and requirements to identify test requirements

- Write, maintain, and manage automated UI tests and API tests

- Contribute to the building and implementing of best fit testing methodologies, including automated test frameworks and API test frameworks like Rest-Assured

- Identify and execute test strategies for functional, integration, and regression testing

- Work with development and product management teams to identify testing needs, build test plans and review testing strategies

- Produce documentation to describe testing architecture and communicate best practices and expectations

- Monitor test metrics and pipelines, ensuring dependability, consistency, scalability and stability

- Collaborate with other developers to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines

- Participate in evaluating, selecting, and adopting new technologies

- Mentor your colleagues, and level up our department's knowledge of QA and testing best practices

- Mentor and coach SDETs to strengthen automation, debugging, and test design skills.

- Review team members automation code and provide actionable feedback to improve quality and maintainability.

- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions on QA best practices, tools, frameworks, and testing methodologies.

- Guide new hires during onboarding, ensuring they understand the teams processes, tools, and automation frameworks.

- Support team growth by helping members set technical development goals and providing continuous feedback.

- Promote a culture of ownership and quality, ensuring the team follows strong engineering and testing standards.

We'd Love to See :

- 6+ years experience in test development role, preferably within a fast-paced, Agile environment 2+ years experience as mentor

- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent background and experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of testing methodologies and frameworks and software fundamentals related to development of test cases

- Experienced with development/bug tracking tools (GitHub, JIRA, etc.)

- Experience with MS Excel

- Proficient with .NET/C# or Java

- Experienced with monitoring and analytics tools (eg. Datadog)

- Experience with CI/CD tools (eg. Azure Devops, TeamCity)

- Proficient with MS Excel and relational databases (SQL, MS SQL, Oracle or DB2)

- Thorough and detail-oriented approach with an ability to analyze how product changes affect all product components

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with VBA

- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript

- Experience with relational database (SQL, MS SQL, Oracle or DB2)

- Prior experience mentoring/coaching
