About the role :

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Development Engineer Lead (iOS) to join our rapidly growing Starkey Engineering team. You will play a key role in building the next generation of mobile applications and services that power our business.

As part of the iOS Development Team, you will lead by example actively participating in coding, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best coding practices. You will advocate for quality in every sprint, mentor team members, and take ownership of delivering robust, highperformance, and user-centric applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and maintainable iOS applications using Swift and Clean Architecture principles.

- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle including planning, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

- Lead by example through hands-on development, code reviews, and continuous integration.

- Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to define and validate user stories, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria.

- Develop and execute test strategies, test specifications, and automation frameworks for new and existing features.

- Integrate automated tests with the CI/CD infrastructure, monitor execution results, and drive quality improvements.

- Mentor and guide junior developers and testers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, defects, and technical challenges.

- Research and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and processes to improve engineering and testing practices.

Candidate requirements :

Required Skills & Experience :

- Languages : Swift, Objective-C, C++

- 4 to 6 years of software development experience with at least 2 years in iOS development and team leadership.

- Frameworks/Tools : Cocoa, Xcode, SwiftUI, Firebase

- Concepts : Clean Architecture, Threading, Processes, Application Lifecycle

- Methodologies : Agile, TDD, BDD

- APIs & Cloud : HTTP, REST, Cloud integrations

- Experience with iPad application development is a plus.

- Experience to Android development (functional and non-functional aspects)

- Experience in technically leading a team.

- Ability to create reports for stakeholders.

- Good understanding of software development best practices

- Passion for product quality and attention to detail

- Passion for finding bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have) :

- BE/BTech/MCA in Computer Science or a related field from a reputed institution

- Demonstrated ability to use coding standards and participate in code reviews.
