ABOUT THE ROLE :
Vehant Technologies is looking for a proactive Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity infrastructure and help us build a secure enterprise environment.
We have already procured our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions and are looking for a professional who can lead their implementation, deployment, integration, and ongoing administration in a Linux - centric enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands - on experience in Linux administration, enterprise security, endpoint security, network security, and automation using shell scripting. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the organization's overall cybersecurity strategy and establish best security practices across the IT environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Implement, configure, deploy, and manage enterprise DLP and MDM solutions.
- Define and enforce data protection and endpoint security policies across the organization.
- Secure Linux endpoints and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
- Administer and harden Linux systems using industry best practices.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, switches, and routers to maintain a secure network infrastructure.
- Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation measures.
- Develop and automate administrative and security tasks using Shell/Bash scripting.
- Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, and Development teams to strengthen the organization's security posture.
- Prepare security documentation, SOPs, and implementation guidelines.
- Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend improvements to existing security controls.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
- 6+ years of experience in Cyber Security, Infrastructure Security, or Network Security.
- Hands - on experience implementing or administering DLP solutions.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
- Strong Linux administration experience (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).
- Good knowledge of Shell/Bash scripting.
- Experience with enterprise firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching.
- Understanding of endpoint security, access control, data protection, and security hardening.
- Knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
