Position Overview :

As a Techno Functional Consultant DCS & Machine Integration at Vegam, your primary responsibility will be to provide techno-functional expertise and guidance on Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for developing and supporting IT products related to industrial automation and process control.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, engineers, and product managers to ensure that DCS solutions are integrated effectively into the SFS product suite.

Key Responsibilities :

- Serve as the primary technical resource for topics like controllers, I/O modules, HMI, and Embedded web servers ensuring that these technologies work together and provide a robust and flexible control system that can manage complex industrial manufacturing processes very effectively and reliably for integration of MES and DCS-related projects, guiding system architecture, design, and implementation.

- Participate in customer engagements to understand their DCS requirements and detail the technical specifications to obtain the set of data points required by the smart factory system.

- Work closely with software developers to implement interfaces between the DCS and the MES system.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to DCS integration in the product, working closely with developers and support teams.

- Provide training and support to internal teams on DCS concepts, best practices, and troubleshooting.

- Conduct research and stay current with industry trends and advancements in DCS technology to recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

- Proven experience working with Distributed Control Systems (from Siemens, ABB, Emerson etc.) in industrial automation or process control environments.

- Strong technical knowledge of DCS hardware, software, communication protocols, and control strategies.

- Experience with software development methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum, and version control systems.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Certifications DeltaV/ Yokogawa/Honeywell/ABB/Siemens in DCS platforms or related technologies are a plus.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, or consumer goods.

- Knowledge of additional DCS & Machine Integration modules and functionalities.

- Certification in relevant DCS & Machine Integration software products.
