The Veeva Vault Specialist is responsible for testing, validating, configuring, and supporting Veeva Vault applications including RIM, Quality, Safety, and Medical modules. The role involves collaborating with business, technical teams, and compliance stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Testing & Validation :
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Veeva Vault applications.
- Validate Vault workflows, access permissions, lifecycle states, and approval processes.
- Conduct UAT cycles, manage defect logging, triage, and re-testing using tools like JIRA, Azure Test Plans, etc.
- Ensure testing compliance with GxP, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation standards.
2. Configuration & Support :
- Configure Veeva Vault components including document types, lifecycles, roles, and security settings.
- Support business teams with day-to-day Vault operations, issue resolution, and enhancements.
- Maintain Vault Release Management by validating new patches and updates.
3. Integration & Data :
- Work with development teams to validate Vault-to-Salesforce, Vault-to-CRM, or other system integrations (API-based).
- Review and validate data migration activities, metadata mapping, and content operations.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work with Business Analysts to convert requirements into test scenarios and scripts.
- Support regulatory, compliance, and quality teams during system validation.
- Provide training, documentation, and user guidance for Vault processes.
Required Skills & Experience :
Technical Skills :
- Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault (RIM, Quality, PromoMats, MedComms, Clinical, or Safety modules).
- Strong understanding of Vault configuration, workflows, lifecycles, and permissions.
- Experience in Functional/Manual Testing and validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred).
- Experience in API testing, Postman, JSON/XML, and integration flows.
Automation (Preferred) :
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Java, or Groovy.
- Experience automating validation of Vault workflows (nice to have).
Compliance & Methodologies :
- Understanding of CSV, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+ principles.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment.
