Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Developer with expertise in VBA, SQL, and automation solutions to support the design, development, and maintenance of robust data-driven applications and processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL Server, VBA macros, and data processing automation, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues while working closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Core Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain automation tools using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).

- Create, optimize, and manage MS Access databases and SQL Server stored procedures.

- Develop complex SQL queries and scripts for data transformation and reporting.

- Code, debug, test, document, and communicate component development stages effectively.

- Contribute to the creation of technical designs (HLD, LLD, SAD) and architecture of applications/components.

Testing & Quality :

- Create and review unit test cases and execution scenarios.

- Collaborate with the testing team; review test plans and clarify requirements.

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on defects and implement corrective actions.

- Ensure code quality, minimal post-delivery defects, and adherence to coding standards.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

- Present design options, conduct product demos, and engage in technical discussions.

- Drive and manage team deliverables and set performance goals (FAST goals).

Documentation & Configuration :

- Develop and maintain documentation including design, test cases, and user manuals.

- Define configuration management plans and ensure team compliance.

Project & Knowledge Management :

- Estimate effort and resources for project tasks.

- Participate in release execution and monitoring.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing and reusable documentation.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience with VBA development and automation scripting.

- Strong command of SQL Server, T-SQL, and Access database design.

- Hands-on experience with data ingestion, cleaning, and report generation.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.

- Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Python or other automation tools.

- Familiarity with ETL tools, data pipelines, or integration processes.

- Domain knowledge in banking, finance, or related industries.

- Certifications in relevant domains or technologies (e.g., Microsoft SQL, VBA).
