We are looking for a skilled Excel VBA Developer to design and develop a robust Excel-based prototype for financial planning and simulation. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to translate complex financial requirements into automated, user-friendly Excel models. You will leverage your VBA expertise to build scalable, efficient, and interactive tools that support financial analysis and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive Excel-based financial planning prototype incorporating complex financial logic, simulations, and scenario analysis.

- Develop and automate workflows using VBA macros, including UI components such as forms, buttons, and custom menus to enhance user interaction.

- Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to gather detailed functional and technical requirements.

- Translate business needs into scalable Excel models with a focus on accuracy, usability, and maintainability.

- Implement advanced Excel features such as dynamic dashboards, pivot tables, Power Query integration, and data visualization to enhance reporting capabilities.

- Ensure the prototype allows for iterative development and rapid adjustments based on feedback.

- Optimize VBA code for performance improvements and error handling.

- Document the design, logic, and code for future reference and ease of maintenance.

- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of the financial planning tools.

- Work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Excel VBA development, including automation, custom UI, and complex formula integration.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel functions (including array formulas, INDEX/MATCH, nested IFs), pivot tables, charts, and dashboard creation.

- Strong expertise in writing efficient, reusable, and modular VBA code.

- Experience in designing and developing financial models, budgeting tools, or planning and forecasting prototypes.

- Good understanding of financial concepts and terminology relevant to planning and forecasting.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle rapid iteration cycles.

- Familiarity with integrating Excel with other data sources via Power Query, ODBC connections, or external APIs is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills for gathering requirements and providing technical explanations to non-technical stakeholders.
