About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Workato Developer with hands-on experience in designing, building, and managing automation workflows using the Workato integration platform. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in API integrations, data transformation, and automation architecture, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience Required :
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Workato development, integration platforms, or automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows (recipes) using the Workato platform to streamline business processes.
- Build and enhance custom connectors, integrating with both REST and SOAP APIs for complex system interactions.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and error-handling across workflows.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise integration workflows, ensuring reliability, performance, and minimal downtime.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for integration architecture, configurations, data flows, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and privacy standards across all automations.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve, simplify, and standardise existing integrations and automation processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Proven experience working with Workato or similar integration/automation platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi, Zapier, Make).
- Strong understanding of API protocols (REST/SOAP) and authentication methods (OAuth, API Keys, JWT).
- Hands-on expertise in JSON, XML, SQL, and data transformation techniques.
- Familiarity with SaaS applications such as Salesforce, Netsuite, Workday, HubSpot, Slack, or other enterprise systems.
- Ability to design integrations with scalability, maintainability, and performance in mind.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of iPaaS best practices, integration patterns, and workflow automation strategies.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
