Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Consultant to strengthen our organization's information security posture, focusing on protecting IT assets, creative assets, research documents, and cloud-based workspace security.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming, particularly Python, enterprise-level data security, and IT asset security.

This role offers the opportunity for software developers with a strong foundation in programming to apply and further develop their skills in a security-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning and Risk Management :

- Assess and evaluate current security infrastructure and protocols.

- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.

- Provide expert advice on best practices for data protection and cyber threat prevention, particularly in creative and research-based contexts.

System and Network Security :

- Design and implement comprehensive security solutions for a mixed environment of Mac workstations (MacBook Pro, Mac Studio), Windows Workstations (Desktops and Laptops) and cloud-based services.

- Experience with securing large file storage systems and data transfer protocols for media files and documents.

- Leverage programming skills (especially Python) to automate security tasks, develop custom security tools, and improve incident response capabilities.

Cloud and Workspace Security :

- Develop and maintain security protocols for Google Workspace, ensuring data protection and access control.

- Enhance security measures for protecting sensitive research documents and creative content in cloud environments.

Incident Response and Threat Management :

- Respond to and investigate security incidents, particularly those that might compromise creative or research integrity.

- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies relevant to creative and research-focused organizations

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

- 2+ years of experience in IT security, preferably within creative industry or research.

- Strong proficiency in Python programming, with an ability to automation solutions and develop custom tools.

Certifications :

1. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

2. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

3. CompTIA Security+

4. Google Workspace Security certifications
