Job Description

Role : Java Solution Architect Healthcare Ecosystem

Qualifications and Skills :

- Minimum 15 years of experience in Java technologies with at least 5 years in Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect roles

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

- Proven experience as a Java Solution Architect or Senior Java Developer with extensive hands-on experience in enterprise application development

- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems

- Experience working within the Healthcare Ecosystem including payer, provider, claims processing, EHR/EMR systems, healthcare integrations, or digital health platforms

- Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, X12, and healthcare data exchange models

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP along with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes

- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and infrastructure automation

- AI-savvy with exposure to AI-assisted development tools, automation platforms, Generative AI concepts, or intelligent solution accelerators in software engineering environments

- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, scalability, resiliency, and enterprise-grade application development

- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, caching technologies, messaging systems, and performance tuning techniques

- Experience implementing secure healthcare applications with focus on authentication, authorization, encryption, and regulatory compliance

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional global teams

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and architecture of robust Java-based healthcare applications, translating business and healthcare domain requirements into scalable technical solutions

- Collaborate closely with stakeholders including product managers, healthcare business analysts, architects, compliance teams, and developers to gather and analyze project requirements

- Design and develop enterprise-grade healthcare solutions supporting payer, provider, pharmacy, claims, EHR/EMR, interoperability, and patient engagement platforms

- Develop high-level design documents, architectural blueprints, integration frameworks, and technical specifications

- Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, healthcare compliance requirements, security standards, design patterns, and development best practices

- Drive architecture for microservices-based healthcare platforms with secure APIs and interoperability standards such as HL7/FHIR

- Participate in code reviews, mentor engineering teams, and provide technical leadership for implementing complex Java solutions

- Identify technical risks, scalability concerns, performance bottlenecks, and define mitigation strategies

- Promote integration between legacy healthcare systems and modern cloud-native applications ensuring interoperability and seamless data exchange

- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to implement CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and deployment strategies

- Ensure application designs comply with healthcare data privacy and security standards including HIPAA and related regulatory requirements

- Leverage AI-enabled development tools, automation frameworks, and modern engineering practices to improve productivity, code quality, and solution efficiency

- Stay updated with emerging technologies, healthcare technology trends, AI advancements, digital transformation initiatives, and industry best practices to drive innovation
